OC Relationship Chart Template
An OC relationship chart shows where your original character fits in a cast: who they trust, who they fall for, and who quietly can't stand them. In RelationCanvas every arrow points one way, so your OC's feelings and each character's feelings back are two separate labels.
What's in this template
Rowan Hale sits in the center with four characters around them. Rowan trusts Ivo Pell, and Ivo sees Rowan as a best friend. Rowan has a crush on Sera Quinn, who doesn't know. Rowan counts Ned Marsh as a friend, while Ned sees a rival. Rowan and Anouk Vey are family, and Anouk trusts Rowan. That is five characters and eight labeled arrows, and every name, label and position can be changed.
Who it's for
Use it to drop your OC into an existing cast for fanfiction or an AU, to plan a roleplay character before a new thread, or to check that your protagonist's relationships aren't all one-sided by accident. When a line only goes one way, that's a story question worth answering.
How to make your own in 3 steps
- Make the cast yours. Open the template, then click a character card to change the name, add a note, or choose a picture. Pictures are cropped into a circle in your browser and are not uploaded.
- Add a relationship. Select the character the arrow starts from, click Connect, then click the character it points to. Pick a label such as Trust, Crush or Rival, or write your own, and click Add connection.
- Give the other side a voice. Select an arrow and use Add [name]'s side to label how the second character sees the first, or tick Also add their perspective while you connect. When it reads right, click Export PNG and choose 2x or 4x.
The chart is saved in this browser. Download a project file from the File menu if you want a copy you can import later.
