1. The service

RelationCanvas is a browser tool for English-speaking original-character and story creators. You place characters on a chart, label how each person sees the others, and export a clean image. Charts are stored in your browser on this device. There is no RelationCanvas account.

Drawing the chart and exporting PNG or SVG are free. When video export is enabled on the site, you may also preview a mute vertical film and optionally purchase a one-time unlock to download an H.264 MP4 (typically 720×1280) encoded in your browser. The catalog price for that unlock is US$8 once, tax included.

You keep ownership of your characters, names, images, and story content. You are responsible for having the rights to any material you place on a chart.

2. Fees and billing

PNG and SVG export: free, with no watermark and no subscription.

Optional MP4 video export unlock: US$8 one-time (USD), tax included. It is not a monthly or yearly plan and is not charged per video. A successful unlock allows MP4 downloads in that browser. The Order ID and receipt email restore the unlock after site storage is cleared or in another browser.

Checkout is processed by Waffo (Pancake). RelationCanvas does not collect or store payment card numbers. Currency, tax treatment, and the receipt you receive follow the checkout you complete with Waffo.

If video export is marked coming soon or is unavailable in your browser, you will not be charged for MP4 unlock until checkout completes successfully.

3. Refunds and cancellation

You may cancel a Waffo checkout before payment completes. No charge is due if you do not finish payment.

Because the paid product is a digital unlock delivered in the browser, successful unlocks are generally non-refundable once MP4 download has been enabled on the device, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

If you paid successfully but the unlock did not apply because of a fault on our side, email support@relationcanvas.com within 14 days with your Order ID and receipt email. We will restore the unlock or arrange a refund through the payment provider when the purchase cannot be restored.

If the MP4 fails to encode in the browser where you paid, the same applies: email support@relationcanvas.com within 14 days with your Order ID and receipt email, and we will help you make the video or arrange a refund.

Free features do not involve a charge, so there is nothing to refund for PNG or SVG export alone.

4. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as available. Charts depend on your browser storage and device. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, compatibility with every browser, or that every chart will fit a readable phone video.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RelationCanvas is not liable for lost charts, failed local encodes, third-party checkout outages, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site. Our aggregate liability for a paid unlock is limited to the amount you paid for that unlock.

RelationCanvas is not a clinical genogram tool and is not intended for medical, legal, or therapeutic advice.

5. Acceptable use, breach, and termination

You may not misuse checkout, attempt to circumvent the unlock, attack the site, scrape in a way that harms the service, or upload unlawful content into your local chart materials.

We may refuse to issue or restore a video unlock, block abusive checkout attempts, or disable paid features for fraud, chargebacks made in bad faith, or material breach of these terms.

There is no account to delete. You may stop using RelationCanvas at any time and clear this site’s browser storage to remove local charts. We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
