Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Chart content: character names, images, relationship labels, and project files stay in your browser on this device. RelationCanvas does not upload chart contents to our servers for saving, preview, or encode.

Payment card information: we do not collect or store card numbers, CVV codes, or full payment credentials. When you buy the optional MP4 unlock, card and billing details are collected and processed by Waffo (Pancake) on their checkout pages under their own terms and privacy policy.

Purchase metadata we may receive from Waffo or that you enter for restore: Order ID, payment status, product identifiers, and the receipt email you use at checkout or in Restore purchase. We use these to issue or restore a browser unlock token. We do not use them to rebuild your chart.

Technical and usage data: standard server logs and privacy-preserving analytics (such as page views and a few anonymous product events like editor ready or export success). Analytics policies strip query strings and share fragments and do not include character names, images, or relationship text.

Support email: if you write to us, we receive the address and message content you send.

2. How we use and store data

Local charts are stored in browser storage you control. Clearing site data removes them from that browser.

Unlock tokens are stored in this browser so MP4 download can stay available after payment. Order ID and receipt email are what you use to restore that unlock if storage is cleared or in another browser.

We use purchase metadata only to confirm payment, issue or restore unlocks, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. We use analytics to understand aggregate site usage, not to profile your cast.

Server-side secrets (such as unlock signing keys and Waffo API credentials) stay in our hosting environment and are not embedded in your chart files.

3. Third-party sharing and disclosure

Waffo processes checkout and may process refunds. Card data is handled by Waffo, not by RelationCanvas.

Hosting and analytics providers (for example Vercel and Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights) process technical traffic data under their policies. We configure analytics so chart contents are not sent as event payloads.

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service against fraud or abuse.

4. Your rights (access and deletion)

Access and export of chart data: open the chart in this browser and use Download project file, PNG, or SVG. We cannot retrieve a chart from our servers because we do not host it.

Deletion of chart data: clear this site’s cookies and site data in your browser, or remove the project file copies you downloaded.

Purchase and unlock data: email us to ask what purchase metadata we hold for an Order ID, or to request deletion of support correspondence we stored. Deleting unlock metadata may prevent restore on that device; your payment record with Waffo remains subject to Waffo’s policy.

Card data rights for payments must be exercised with Waffo, because RelationCanvas never receives the card number.

5. Security and children

We use HTTPS and limit server access to operational secrets. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

RelationCanvas is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The updated date appears at the top of this page.
